TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Police are once again reminding residents to lock their cars after a vehicle was stolen from a driveway.
Trussville Police were dispatched to a home on Trace Way regarding a stolen vehicle. Once officers arrived, the victim stated that around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, his red four-door Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from his driveway. Reportedly the vehicle was left unlocked with the keys left inside.
The victim stated the last time he saw the vehicle was around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26.
According to reports, on Wednesday, September 27, the victim heard two beeps and then a vehicle start-up outside his house before driving away at high speed. The victim stated that he assumed it was his neighbor starting his own vehicle and heading to work.
The vehicle is said to be equipped with a black toolbox and black running boards with a black vanity plate on the front bumper with the red Alabama script A on it.
