JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting involving a toddler stuck by gunfire on Thursday, October 7, around 4:30 p.m.
Witnesses state that the child and her father were traveling in their vehicle near the 5000 block of Avenue F in Fairfield when shots were fired. Reportedly, the father drove away from the area and called law enforcement from a safe location.
The child was transported by ambulance to Children’s Hospital, but her condition is unknown at this time.
