CENTER POINT — Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced that a Center Point man was arrested in connection to an apparent homicide that occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Terrell Maurice Watts was arrested and taken into custody to be questioned by detectives around 9:30 a.m. Watts is being questioned for the events that took place at the 1100 Block of Centerpoint Parkway, where detectives are investigating a homicide that had occurred nearby. During the investigation, detectives developed Watts as a suspect, and patrol and K-9 Units mounted a search for the suspect.
Watts has since been transported to the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham and was booked at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, October 8, on the charge of capital murder.
