BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department requests assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, just after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2020, Tyler Rashard Busby, 27, was shot and killed at the Nu Vision Detail Center located in the 2800 block of Bessemer Road.
Reportedly Busby stepped outside to take a phone call when an unknown person emerged from a vehicle and shot him. The suspect then fled the scene in a small sedan prior to the officer’s arrival. Busby was pronounced deceased on the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel. To this day, Tyler’s killer(s) still has not been brought to justice.
