SPRINGVILLE — The Springville Police Department is accepting donations for Toys for Tots through December 10, 2021.
Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
People are asked to bring unwrapped gifts to Springville Police Department for donations to Toys for Tots. The last day to bring donations is December 10, 2021. Springville Police Department is working with Tami Spires at Springville Elementary School to make sure children have an amazing Christmas.
Springville Police Chief Wayne Walton said this is the first year the department has hosted a Toys for Tots event and hopes to continue to do so in the future. The goal is to have Santa bring the presents donated to the Springville Police Department to families who can’t afford Christmas gifts.
