TUSCALOOSA COUNTY — Motorists on I-59/20 eastbound toward Jefferson County got a front-row seat to a high-speed police chase that blew through two counties on Monday afternoon.
An officer spotted the vehicle heading east on the interstate and began following the suspect.
Taylor said the suspect got off the interstate at Exit 79 and fled toward Five Points before turning onto Skyland Boulevard and getting back on the interstate at Exit 77.
Taylor said local officers and deputies discontinued their chase near Exit 100 as the driver fled out of Tuscaloosa County and into Jefferson County. Officers did not release information on the wanted driver, and no further update is available at this time.
