James Paul Rollan (Paul/PePaw), 65, passed away at his home on October 2nd, 2021.
James “Paul” Rollan
He was the loving husband to Elaine Hawks Rollan. They shared 35 years of marriage. Born in Birmingham on December 20th, 1955, he is preceded in death by his father, James Carson Rollan, mother Annie Ruth Rollan, and sister Jane Tennyson.
Paul was a lover of life and people; he never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome where ever he was. He had a knack for working on cars, and if your car had an issue, Paul was the man to see. He was in the car business for 42 years, and for the last 13 years, he and his son Robert DeRamus have owned Parkway Motors, previously in Centerpoint, and has now moved to Springville. Paul loved Alabama football, piddling as he used to say, and his family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Elaine Hawks Rollan. Son, Robert DeRamus, (Jennifer DeRamus), grandchildren Hudson Paul DeRamus and Olivia Hawks DeRamus, sister Lou Anne Stadler, brother Mike Rollan and many nieces and nephews.
On Friday, October 8th, 2021, Visitation was held from 11:00-12:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial on Highway 11. Service and gravesite following.
