Jennie Shariett, age 54, of Pinson, passed into her Savior Jesus Christ’s loving arms on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
Jennie was born on August 21, 1967, to the late Samuel and Jonnie Hartzog. She is also preceded in death by her brother Roger Dale Whitten. Jennie was a member of the Healing Place Church in Trussville and had a tremendous amount of love for God, her family, and her friends. Being blessed with a compassionate heart, she lived as a faithful servant, witnessing and serving others.
Before graduating from Erwin High School in 1985, she had already begun a career as a cosmetologist. Extremely talented, she worked with vigor and enthusiasm in the Beauty Industry on and off for 35 years. Jennie’s light was so bright, just being around her made you “SHINE,” making you feel better about yourself. She could make you laugh and cry all in the same sentence with her little “giggles” and terms of endearment (Lovey, Honey, Chow- Chow, Baby), etc.… She was admired and loved by her co-workers & clientele and will live on in the hearts and memories of all the lives she touched,
Jennie is survived by the love of her life and husband of 22 years, E. DeWayne Shariett; Mother-in-law, Sharon C. Shariett, daughters, Adrienne S. McClendon (Lance) and Allison Shariett; brothers, Bobby Joe Whitten, Ricky (Janice), Michael (Vickie) and David Hartzog; sister, Peggy Gibbs (Mark), DeAnn S. Shannon (Mark) and Linda Elrod; grandchildren, Madison Shariett,
Joshua Walker, Keaton Mott, Zoey, and Jaxon Jones. She left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family who all held her in the highest regard. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
Family and Friends will gather at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville, AL., on Friday. October 1, 2021. Visitation was from 11 a.m. till noon—funeral followed. Pastor Terry Williams officiated over the services.
