WINSTON COUNTY — A Haleyville man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday, October 28, at approximately 10:25 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Matthew K. Riddle, 27, was fatally injured when the 2017 Dodge Ram he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred approximately one mile east of Double Springs on U.S. 278 near the 44-mile marker.
Riddle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
