CENTER POINT — A minor was rescued from an apartment fire in Center Point on Monday, November 1, around 9:45 p.m.
According to Center Point Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Brandon Dahlen, the fire occurred at 1991 E Bend Circle in Center Point, and the unit was a complete loss. Six units were damaged in this fire, with two receiving fire damage, four had smoke and water damage, and around 14 occupants were displaced due to the fire.
Dahlen explained that the minor was transported to Children’s Hospital.
“Our crews arrived at a two-story apartment that had fire showing from the entryway,” Dahlen said. “Crews made an interior attack and discovered there was a young child trapped in there, and they were able to successfully rescue the child. The child was then treated and transported to Children’s Hospital for smoke inhalation and burn injuries.”
