BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is investigating the shooting death of a man at a Birmingham nightclub on Sunday, November 7, at approximately 1:39 a.m.
According to the Birmingham Police Department, Jeremy Managan, 35, of Birmingham, was killed during a shooting at GMV Club located at 1710 Avenue D Ensley. Officers from the West Precinct responded to a call of a person shot at a nightclub. Upon arrival, officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were transported to UAB Hospital. Officers were also notified that a fourth victim was transported to UAB hospital from another location who was wounded at the GMV Club. Detectives were later notified by UAB Hospital staff that Managan had succumbed to his injuries. The other victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation indicates an altercation inside the club led to gunfire.
