BIRMINGHAM — Bundle up tonight. The National Weather Service says Saturday night, November 13, 2021, will be the coldest night of the year so far.
With temperatures in Birmingham dropping from the high 40s into freezing range (and possibly below), the entire metro area is expected to be affected. The NWS warned that the entirety of central Alabama will see chilly temperatures.
North Alabama is under a freeze warning, but the cold temperatures are expected to affect the entirety of the state.
NWS forecasters advised that residents bring sensitive plants inside, and that this weather could adversely affect pets and water pipes as well.
