Margie A. Roper, age 94, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021.

Margie was born April 9, 1927, in Cullman, Alabama, to Annie and Ellis Ashley. A long-time resident of the Roebuck Springs area of Birmingham, Alabama, Margie was an active member of the South Roebuck Baptist Church; a proud member and past president of the Roebuck Springs Flower Association, she loved her community and worked hard to maintain its appearance, “She Loved being and working outside”.
Margie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Roper, her cherished son, Mark Roper, her parents, Annie and Ellis Ashley, and two brothers. She is survived by her loving son, David Roper, a granddaughter, Ashley Roper, two great-grandsons, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, November 16, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m., followed with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Officiating Dr. Gary Fisher.
