SUMTER COUNTY — Authorities have issued a dangerous person alert (Blue Alert) on Saturday, November 20, at 11:58 p.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Randy Lee Wade, 57, of Sumter County is being sought in connection to the injury of an Alabama State Trooper that was assaulted while attempting to execute an arrest of Wade and is believed to be a serious risk to the public. Wade is 5 foot 10 inches and is around 135 pounds. Wade was last seen on Friday, November 19, at approximately 11:45 p.m. at Alabama Highway 28 and I-20/59 in Livingston.
The Trooper was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident and is currently recovering.
