TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville High School’s “Husky Woodwind Quintet” has been selected to perform at the 2022 Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) Conference to be held in January in Birmingham.
The Husky Woodwind Quintet is a student-led ensemble consisting of some of the top woodwind musicians at the school. The group is led by junior Jones Preg on clarinet and includes Emma Coley on flute, Elizabeth Allison on bassoon, Maddy Mann on Oboe) and Ben Crawford on horn.
Each year a committee of music educators evaluates submitted recordings and selects ensembles to perform in a limited number of concert slots.
