TRUSSVILLE — A boom truck smashed through two homes in Trussville on Tuesday, November 23.
According to Trussville Police Department’s Lieutenant Clint Riner, the boom truck belonged to a tree service cutting trees in the area of the 200 block of Lake Street in Trussville. The cause of the truck crashing into two homes is still being investigated.
The truck is currently leaking oil and gas, and Trussville Fire Department is on the scene to contain the spillage. The road is now reopened to through traffic.
“Nobody that we’re aware of was injured inside the homes, and one of the workers was transported by a private vehicle and taken to the doctor,” Riner said. “He was just a little shook up from what we gathered. So minor injuries is all we’re aware of at this time.”
Trussville police and fire are still at the scene.
The story will be updated when more information becomes available.
