WALKER COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, has claimed the life of a North Carolina man
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Danny S. Ashe, 50, of Bladenboro, was fatally injured when the 2004 Peterbilt tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and then a bridge. The Peterbilt traveled off the bridge and overturned. The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 54 mile-marker, approximately seven miles northwest of Jasper.
Ashe was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
