BIRMINGHAM — A 70-year-old Birmingham man was killed after being struck by a vehicle; the incident occurred on Saturday, November 4, at approximately 10:37 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Oliver R. Ledwell was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a two-vehicle wreck.
“The decedent was reportedly struck by a third vehicle after he exited his vehicle to check on the other party involved in the original wreck,” Coroner William Yates said.
Ledwell was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
