BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identifies a Birmingham man killed in Birmingham’s deadly weekend.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue (BFR) personnel arrived on the scene; they pronounced one of the males deceased. BFR transported the second male to a local- area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The preliminary investigation suggests multiple individuals were inside of the residence prior to shots being fired inside of the residence,” Birmingham Police Truman Fitzgerald said. “Officers have detained the multiple occupants for questioning. Detectives will interview the occupants; we will provide subsequent updates.”
