CENTER POINT — A Center Point woman who was injured in a house fire died on Tuesday, December 7.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Waniki Lushun Fox, 41, was one of two people injured in a house fire on Sunday, December 5. The house fire has claimed two lives, including 7-year-old Za’niyah Fox.

“The decedent was found inside a private residence by firefighters after responding to reports of a residential fire,” Coroner William Yates said. “The decedent was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment, where death was pronounced two days later.”
