CENTER POINT — A Center Point firefighter/paramedic was selected to be in this year’s “40 Under 40” class.
This year’s selection for the 2021 class required 40 Under 40 Leadership Committee members to rank nominees from highly qualified candidates from around the world. The nominees represented a wide range of services and skills to improve outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest, including educators, researchers, clinicians, survivors, family support members, and first responders.
Center Point Fire Department’s Matthew Crow was invited to participate in virtual events prior to Cardiac Arrest Survival Summit 2021 and is celebrated at the conference.
The Citizen CPR Foundation’s 40 Under 40 recognition program engages, strengthens, and celebrates the future of sudden cardiac arrest training, response and survival by recognizing 40 outstanding individuals under 40 years of age.
In order to be considered as a 40 Under 40 honoree, individuals must have made a meaningful contribution to SCA outcomes in a personal or professional setting; including, saving an individual’s life; training, preparedness, and implementation in a community, group, or business setting; raising awareness on a local, regional or national scale; unique progress, contributions or finding in cardiac arrest science, practice and/or research; and product innovations, inventions or enhancements.
“The Citizen CPR Foundation launched the 40 Under 40 initiative in 2018 as a way to recognize and support the talented individuals who are leading the future of sudden cardiac arrest awareness and outcomes,” Citizen CPR Foundation President Stu Berger said. “This year, we received more nominations than ever, a testament to the inspiring work that’s being done in communities around the world.”
