JEFFERSON COUNTY — A Dora woman struck and killed on Highway 78 has been identified.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Bobbie Jean Cook, 42, was a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle on U.S. Highway 78 West near Crestview Drive in Bagley on Thursday, December 9, at approximately 5:40 p.m.
“Deputies were called to investigate reports of a pedestrian struck on Highway 78 at Cresview Road near Dora,” Sergeant Joni Money said. “Deputies arrived to find a currently unidentified female had been struck by multiple vehicles on Highway 78.”
Cook was pronounced dead at the scene.
Money stated that the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation into the fatal accident.
