BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is requesting the assistance of the public in locating the families of the following people who recently died in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Coroner seeks the public’s help to find relatives of Kenneth Wayne Hendon (left) and Bruce Richard Higdon (right).
Deputy Coroner William Yates requests that anyone who may be family or have knowledge of family members for the following people to call the Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office at 205-930-3603.
Kenneth Wayne Hendon, 81, of Hoover, was a tenant at Diversicare of Riverchase and under the care of Compassus Hospice. He died of natural causes. All attempts to locate family have failed, Yates said.
Bruce Richard Higdon, 82, was found unresponsive inside his private residence on the 900 block of 46th Street West, Birmingham at by police performing a welfare check at the request of a friend. The decedent lived alone, and friends have no knowledge of the decedent’s family, Yates reported.
