LAWRENCE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Muscle Shoals woman and injured two more people on Monday, December 20, at approximately 7:05 a.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Angela V. Carroll, 56, was fatally injured when the 2005 Buick LaCrosse she was driving collided with a 2021 Audi Q3 driven by Chris A. Barnes, 67, also of Muscle Shoals. The crash occurred at the intersection of Alabama 101 and Lawrence County 314 near the 22 mile marker, approximately five miles north of Town Creek.
Carroll was not utilizing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Barnes was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The passenger of the Audi, Linda C. Clemons, 71, of Muscle Shoals, was also injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
