BIRMINGHAM — Two were found dead in a Birmingham home on Thursday, December 23, around 9:30 a.m.
Officers arrived on the scene and observed the front door of the residence open; officers then cleared the residence. A toddler was located in the residence. Officers entered a bedroom where they observed an adult male and female lying unresponsive on the floor.
“The preliminary investigation has revealed evidence which leads our detectives to believe the investigation surrounding the female victim is a homicide in nature and the male’s case will be investigated as an unclassified death,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “A firearm was recovered from the residence.”
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced both dead on the scene. The Department of Human Resources has been called to the residence to help with the child.
