STEELE — Two suspects were arrested for drug trafficking after 43 grams of cocaine was discovered on Monday, December 27.
According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, Toshiba Stephenson, 33, of Fort Payne, and Richard Hall, 52, of Birmingham were arrested after a traffic stop, and K9 Yance alerted that drugs were in the vehicle.
“The St. Clair County Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office K9 Yance, arrested Richard Hall and Toshiba Stephenson after a traffic stop and K9 alert led to the discovery of approximately 43 grams of cocaine,” Sheriff Billy J. Murray said.
Stephenson was booked into the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville and charged with drug trafficking, and her bond is set at $1.5 million. Hall was booked into the St. Clair County Jail in Ashville and charged with drug trafficking and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and his bond is set at $1,500,500.
The Steele Police Department assisted in the arrest.
