TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville City Schools plan to open storm shelters if and when severe weather begins in Trussville on Wednesday, December 29.
According to the National Weather Service, severe weather is expected to reach Jefferson County after 8:30 p.m.
Damaging winds, gusts, and a tornado are possible this afternoon and into the night.

Severe storms are also possible across Alabama early Thursday morning. Strong winds and a few tornadoes are possible. Another severe weather threat will come Saturday afternoon into Saturday night, followed by much colder air.
