BIRMINGHAM — A single-vehicle accident near Trussville has claimed one life on Thursday, December 30, at approximately 6:15 a.m.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), James W. Langner, 37, of Oneota, was fatally injured when the 2003 Toyota Avalon he was driving left the roadway and struck the concrete base of a light pole. The accident occurred on Interstate 459 near the 29-mile marker, approximately three miles south of Trussville.
Langner was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
