SPRINGVILLE — A bomb threat before school started delayed Springville High School until 9 a.m.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the St. Clair County Board of Education received a bomb threat to Springville High School. The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office was notified this morning and assisted the Springville Police Department in searching the school.
“We got a bomb threat before school started, so no students were allowed to enter the building at point,” St. Clair County Superintendent MikeHoward said.

“The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad K9 unit also cleared the building,” Sheriff Billy Murray said.
The school has been cleared and deemed safe for students to attend classes. No devices were located, and school has resumed as normal. Murray said All students were kept out of the school during searches.
“The terrorist threat is under investigation by the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the Springville Police Department,” Murray said.
