TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville used a 13-0 second half run to take control of Friday’s basketball game vs Gadsden City to defeat the Titans 67-58.
The game was tied 42-42 in the second half when the Huskies went on the tear to put the game away. David Moore scored eight points and had some big three point shots during the run.
Ray Rolley led all scorers with 26 points. The HT point guard started fast by making three shots from behind the arc in the first quarter. He closed the game out by sinking six free throws in the final period. Reid Stodghill was a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line on the night and finished with nine points. Tyler Blake, Emeka Anwah, and Tim Brisco all scored six points each.
The Huskies travel to Brookwood on Monday for a meeting with Holt. Tip off is set for 2:30 p.m. Hewitt-Trussville will be back in area play on Friday, January 21, 2022 when they host Vestavia.
