BIRMINGHAM — A new COVID testing location was announced on Tuesday, January 25.
According to the Jefferson County Department of Health, the new COVID testing is located at Cathedral of the Cross A.O.H. Church of God, 1480 Center Point Parkway in Birmingham. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Tuesday, January 25.
The testing utilizes a Yale saliva PCR test with results returned in 48 to 72 hours.
The Alabama Department of Public Health, Jefferson County Department of Health, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Clergy United, and Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church Of God, Inc., in conjunction with the Cathedral Of The Cross A. O. H. Church Of God, are partnering with Easy Testing to offer COVID-19 testing at Cathedral of the Cross A.O.H. Church of God.
Authorities ask for people to please refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, brushing teeth, or using mouth wash 30 minutes prior to arrival for your test.
Anyone needing to be tested can pre-register at EasyTesting.com, but pre-registration is not required. Insurance is accepted but is not required.
