JEFFERSON COUNTY — A fire that occurred on Sunday, January 23, 2022, has claimed the life of an 18-year-old in Jefferson County on Tuesday, February 8.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Kamron James Stanford, 18, of Adamsville, sustained injuries during a residential fire. The incident occurred in the 5000 block of Oak Leaf Circle in Adamsville.
“The decedent was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment where he died approximately two weeks later due to the injuries he sustained during the fire,” Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
Yates said that the fire is believed to be an accidental fire caused by an electric space heater.
