BIRMINGHAM — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified a woman killed in a reported assault on Thursday, February 17, at approximately 3:53 p.m.
According to the Jefferson County Croner’s Office, Felicia A. Ford, 49, of Birmingham, sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault. The incident occurred at 1700 14th Way South West in the Cooper Green Housing Community.

“Upon entering, the victim was observed unresponsive on the kitchen floor, suffering multiple gunshot wounds,” Birmingham Police Department’s Sergeant Rodarius Mauldin said.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
“The death is being investigated as a homicide,” Deputy Coroner William Yates said.
