BIRMINGHAM — A 22-year-old was killed in a Birmingham apartment shooting on Friday, February 25, at approximately 1:25 p.m.
According to the Birmingham Police Department (BPD), Marquis Antone Black Jr., 22, of Fairfield, was found in the courtyard of an apartment building located in the 900 block of 47th Street North in Birmingham.
A South Precinct officer was patrolling the area when the officer heard several gunshots being fired.
“Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “Details are limited in this investigation. Currently, there is no one in custody.”
