LAMAR COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Sulligent man on Sunday, February 27, at approximately 5:20 a.m.
According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Anthony T. Booton, 59, was fatally injured when his 2007 Toyota Yaris he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, and then overturned. The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near the 13 mile-marker, approximately two miles east of Beaverton.
Booton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
