JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) located a body in the woods in Brighton on Monday, February 28, at approximately 9:30 a.m.
According to the JCSO, the currently unidentified body of a male was located in the woods near Oak Ridge Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Detectives are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the homicide and are in the process of interviewing a person of interest,” Sergeant Joni Money said.
