BIRMINGHAM — A man was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound on I-65 North on Monday, February 28, at approximately 1:55 a.m.
“Officers arrived on the scene where they observed a Silver Chevrolet Trax in the emergency lane on the left side of the interstate,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “Officers observed a Hispanic adult male inside of the vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.”
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
“Details are limited in this investigation,” Fitzgerald said. “At this time, it is unknown if the victim’s vehicle was the intended target. Currently, there is no one in custody.”
