BLOUNT COUNTY — Weather permitting, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1 the Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing Maintenance Activities on I-65 as follows:
- This work will require various lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound throughout the day between the Garden City/Blount Springs Exit 287 and the Blount/Cullman County line (Milepost 291).
- At least one travel lane will always remain open.
- All lanes will be re-opened by 5 p.m.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
