BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department (BPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in a homicide case that occurred on Saturday, February 19.

“West Precinct officers were dispatched to 1745 33rd Street Ensley on a report of a person shot call,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. “Officers arrived on the scene where they observed Anthony Jackson II lying unresponsive in the front of the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.”
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced Jackson dead.
“Currently, we have no one in custody,” Fitzgerald said. “The Jackson Family, along with our detectives, are asking for the public’s help with obtaining any information in this case.”
