HOOVER — Hewitt-Trussville varsity baseball stayed unbeaten on the season, moving to 7-0 and pasting South Panola (Mississippi) 13-0 in the Perfect Game Tournament here on Thursday afternoon.
Senior pitcher Riley Quick threw a complete game shutout, striking out 7.
Brett Moseley had a pair of hits and two RBIs, while Baker Green had three hits including a double. Quick helped his own cause with a pair of RBIs as well.
Jack Ollis had two hits and a pair of RBIs, while Carson Wideman added a pair of hits and 3 RBIs. Brooks McRae also had an impact for the Huskies, doubling and driving in a pair of runs.
The tournament continues today.
