RANDOLPH COUNTY — A Wadley High School bus overturned while transporting students on Tuesday, March 15, at approximately 3:14 p.m.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division was notified of a single-vehicle crash on Randolph County 33 near Alabama 22.
The crash involved a Randolph County School Bus with 26 occupants. There were 13 children transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to a Facebook post by Wadley High School, injured students have been transported to Tanner Medical Center in Wedowee.
The high school instructed parents to meet at the school’s lunchroom.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
