BIRMINGHAM — A Birmingham man was shot during a reported assault on Wednesday, March 16, at approximately 6:30 pm.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 25-year-old Darrius Deveal Frazier sustained gunshot wound injuries during a reported assault in the 1000 block of Huffman Road in Birmingham.
Frazier was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Deputy Coroner William Yates said the Birmingham Police Department is investigating the death as a homicide.
