CENTER POINT — Center Point Fire and Rescue rescued four motorists stranded in floodwaters during the night on Tuesday, March 22.
According to Center Point Fire and Rescue, flash flooding last night affected roadways and caused a water rescue.
“Four motorists were stranded from rising waters 2600 block of Sweeney Hollow,” Battalion Chief Brandon Dahlen said. “Crews were able to rescue and safely remove them from the hazard until the water receded.”
Roadways such as Sweeney Hollow at Wood Drive, 200 blocks of Polly Reed Road, and 400 blocks of Sun Valley Road had some roadway flooding for about an hour.
