MONTGOMERY — A Morgan County man was served noticed of an indictment on Monday, April 4, for multiple charges of possession of child pornography.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, Nathan Lott, 41, of Hartselle, was arrested for four counts of possession of obscene matter depicting a person under the age of 17.
Lott was transported to the Morgan County Jail, and his bond was set at $60,000.
If convicted, Lott faces a maximum penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $15,000 for each of the four counts of possession of obscene matter, which are class C felonies.
An indictment is merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
