JEFFERSON COUNTY — Beginning at 7 p.m., Monday, April 18, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close the right or left lanes of I-65 southbound for Milling and Paving Work between just South of the 3rd Avenue North Exit (MP 259.4) and just North of the Green Springs Avenue Exit (MP 258.3).
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Tuesday, April 19, through Saturday, April 23.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Construction Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
