Carol Juanita Becht, 90, of Pell City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 13, 2022.
She was born on December 11, 1931, in Middlebury, Indiana, to Ruby and Paul Blough, who preceded her in death. She was raised on a dairy farm in an Amish Community. She was a cheerleader and played in the high school band. She graduated from Bristol High School in Bristol, Indiana, and went on to beauty college to become a beautician and owned her own beauty shop until she started having children. Over the years, she worked in the medical field and other industries. She retired from Altec Industries. She was also an organist in the Lutheran Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Becht, brothers Richard, Devon, and Roger Blough, twin sisters Janet Blough and Janice (Blough) McCalley, and granddaughter, Cara Yager.
She is survived by her children, Jane Tingle (Argo), Tim (Donna) Becht (Youngsville), Liz Rockett (Trussville), Becky (Rick) Bowman (Moody), and Jim Becht (Pell City), eight grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren and she loved them all dearly. She was a member of Pell City United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be on Monday, April 18, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transportation Fund at Zamora Shrine Temple, P.O. Box 10069, Irondale, AL, or Elevate the Dream Fund at Pell City First United Methodist Church, 2200 3rd Avenue North, Pell City, AL 35125 in her memory.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 24, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel in the Pines, located at Lakeside Park, Pell City.
