Jimmy Carl Adcock was born in Roanoke on January 28, 1949.
He graduated from Hadley High School in Lafayette and later from Auburn University with a degree in business. Jimmy faithfully served our country through the Army National Guard, where he rose to a 6th Degree rank. Jimmy met the love of his life, Nancy, in 1987, and they married just one year later. They built a life, family, and business together through Lighting Concepts.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Mary Adcock, sister, Mary Lynn Nelson, and two brothers, Wayne Adcock and Joe Adcock. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Adcock, and their children, Ginger (Mike) Rogers, Russell (Amber) Adcock, Brad Adcock, Brandi Davis, Sean (Tammy) Jones, their grandchildren Alex (Logan) Rogers, Tyler (Libbi) Rogers, Haley Davis, Isabella Davis, Vega Adcock, and Randy Baker, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jimmy passed into the loving arms of Jesus on April 3, 2022, and left a legacy of faith and faithfulness in all those whose lives he touched.
The visitation and Celebration of Life services will be held on April 22, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively, at Clearbranch United Methodist Church, where Jimmy and Nancy have been faithful members for many years. Rev Vaughn Stafford and Rev Jeremy Auvil will officiate the Celebration of Life service.
