JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Coroner, William Yates, is requesting the public’s assistance locating the family of the following individuals.
Ricky Earl Elkins, 63, of Trafford, died on January 31, 2o21, at 9:06 a.m. Elkin’s partially skeletonized remains were found inside a burnt metal shed in Trafford and were positively identified by DNA comparison to a known DNA sample.
Coroners say his cause of death has not been determined. All attempts to locate family have failed. Elkins was homeless and often seen in the area of Trafford and Pinson. In 2016, the decedent listed an address in the 1800 block of 15th Avenue North in Birmingham.
Caesar Alejandro Gomez, 41, of Birmingham, died on April 4, 2022, at 11:43 a.m. Gomez was found by a roommate unresponsive inside their residence in the 3900 block of 39th Court North in Birmingham.
Yates said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play. However, all attempts to locate family have failed, and there is little known about Gomez. In 2004, Gomez listed an address in Pelham.
Richard Bracy Jr., 66, of Birmingham, was found lying on the side of the roadway by a Birmingham Police officer on routine patrol in the 700 block of 80th Street North in Birmingham on April 8, 2022, at 10:37 p.m. Yates said there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
All attempts to locate family have failed. The decedent has been in and out of state prison since 1975 due to convictions out of Jefferson County. In 2015, the decedent listed an address in the 2900 block of Norwood Boulevard in Birmingham.
Lori Ann Nobles, 55, of Birmingham, died on April 11, 2022, at 8 a.m. Nobles died of natural causes while a tenant at St. Martin’s in the Pines Assisted Living Center and under the care of Compassus Hospice Care.
Nobles has a sister, but all attempts to locate the sister or friends have failed. In 2019, Noble listed an address in Clanton.
William Howard Davis, 74, of Birmingham, was found by a longtime friend unresponsive inside his residence in the 400 block of West Smithfield Drive in Birmingham on April 16 at 2:37 p.m. He is said to have died of natural causes.
Davis reportedly has family that lives out of town, but their names and locations are unknown.
