If you knew Janet, you knew her for her sweet, caring spirit that never met a stranger and always seemed to find the best in everyone she encountered.
Janet was born on February 25, 1933, to Guy and Madge Foster in Birmingham. She and Jim both attended Woodlawn High School and were married a few years after Jim completed his enlistment in the Air Force. They moved from Birmingham to Huntsville in the mid-50s and began raising their two sons there. She was a mother, homemaker, and flower show judge while Jim began his 34-year career with NASA. She later worked for several Huntsville physicians heading the billing and insurance activities in their practices. After both, she and Jim retired, they spent much of their time fishing, hiking, and visiting the Smokie Mountain area each fall. They moved from their home of 40 years in 2013 into assisted living and began a new chapter of their lives together there.
