FLORENCE — The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) ask for your assistance in locating a missing correctional officer and inmate.
According to ALEA, Casey White, 38, is being sought in connection with a missing Lauderdale County Correctional Officer, Vicky Sue White (no relation to Casey White). Vicky White and Casey White were last seen on April 29, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m. at the Lauderdale County Detention Center.
The U.S. Marshals Service stated that “Casey White was charged with two counts of capital murder in September 2020 in the brutal stabbing of 58-year-old Connie Ridgeway. He was already serving time for a 2015 crime spree that involved home invasion, carjacking, and a police chase. White confessed about the murder and was awaiting trial at the Lauderdale County Jail when he disappeared.”
Casey White is believed to be a serious threat to the corrections officer and the public.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the capture of Casey White, and the location of Vicky White.
